I would not make this review too informative or descriptive, since descriptive reviews are a waste of time ,both for the author as well

as the reader. I hope you would find this review short & sweet.

Gulf Air is an airline which I can relate directly to the Indian ones. No,I am not talking sarcastically or critically( I don’t mean to say that the airlines run by Indians are bad), but as I’ve mentioned in the title, it has more of an Indian essence rather than Gulf or middle east. I mean the airhostesses, stewards, pilots, food, etc were largely Indian(I may be wrong but this is what I observed in the past few trips). This is probably because of the large Indian population & influence in the Gulf.

Speaking of the airline, for me, it was very convenient & comfortable and the service, flight timings, etc were quite reliable. Some of my friends & relatives who travelled by Gulf Air said that they weren’t that happy with the service & were left just satisfied. I assume that they might have been comparing it to other international airlines & hence came up to this conclusion. But, for me it was good enough & i kind of enjoyed it.

My family & I travelled by Gulf Air in both of the trips to the U.A.E. We felt it was an ideal airline for these locations. When we approached the ticket counter, we found the service a bit slow, since we had expected better service, being an international airline. However, once we boarded the aircraft, the service was quite good. As in other airlines, this one also had airhostesses/stewards welcoming the passengers, showing the location of the seats, breifing the passengers on safety instructions, announcements, etc before takeoff. After takeoff, the staff was quite helpful to the passengers & also managed to serve lunch on time. The lunch was typical Indian, although it had a few foreign items. Before landing, the passengers were briefed properly regarding the time of landing, location, outside temperature and more.In other words, the service was comparable to the other airlines I have travelled in.
Gulf Air can be potentially, one of the many choices regarding airlines that a person can make while travelling to either U,A,E or Bahrain.
