I flew from london to bahrain then bahrain to chennai...
the trip from london to bahrain was exeptional their was a chef on board [im not saying they were cooking...lol...perhaps supervising] and the food [in economy] was first class the best food I have ever had on an aircraft the cabin crew were attentive and helpful.and the entertainment adequet, as far as I can remember we arrived at bahrain on time... six a.m. ... we had a stop-over until 8.25 pm so they took us to a very nice hotel..we were just preparing for bed when a phonecall informed us the were still serving breakfast... so we went down and had a beautiful breakfast...
Then bed... we got a phone call [i cant remember the time ] informing us that the dining room was available to us.. so a quick shower then more good food... then the bus collected us and back to the airport... I really dont enjoy hanging about in airports but in the grand scheme of things this is what we have to do and bahrain is not a bad airport to hang out in... but then we were into the indian side of gulf air the boarding was slightly chaotic the plane itself wasnt too clean the cabin crew werent bothered and the food was plastic ... we arrived in chennia the night after the english cricket team and had heard how security had been beefed up... perhaps it was ... I saw a quite overweight old policeman and that was the security... my journey was like a football match... a game of two halves... the first half was first class the second was basic economy... so how do you judge them as an airline?
