The story mainly deals with how people were subjected to societal demands and the consequences of its violation on the offenders. Also the friendship between Gora and Binoy is much pronounced. The story does have a couple of big and small twists amd turns. The reader is finally at rest after knowing that Gora is actually Irish after much anticipation of his identity.
