I brought Godrej Interio MANHATTEN Sofa set to my home on August 2011. This is the costliest Sofa available in Godrej Interio and cost around Rs. 1 lakh. But Exactly after 1 year I found that the lining cloth used underneath the sofa is worn out because of its cheaper quality lining cloth (actually black coloured paper cloth, which is of Rs.7/- per metre is used). And also I noticed the wooden material used inside the sofa set is of cheaper quality (reaper wood and low quality plywood are used). When I showed it to experienced professionals in furniture field they said that this sofa is of cheaper quality and not worthy. Further they mentioned that this design sofa set can be made with “better quality materials” for Rs. 20, 000/- only.
As I was a fan of Godrej furniture my faith in the Godrej Company has lost. I have decided not to purchase Godrej products in future. Even after paying huge amount we cannot expect good quality from Godrej. I suggest the quality concerned furniture customers like me to go for customized options and don’t go for readymade items from Godrej Company.
