The Godrej AC worked fine for 2 years but it recently stopped cooling. On examination the service team said that there is leakage in the coils and the AC will have to be taken to the workshop for repair. Although the AC was covered in extended comprehensive warranty, they demanded transport charges for taking the AC. When I pointed out that the transport was covered in the warranty, they took the AC and I have not heard from them for the last 15 days. When I phoned the Godrej smart care number, I was told that there is lot of complaints for this same problem and because of lack of spare parts, the AC has not been repaired. They will revert when the AC is ready. If I cannot use my AC during the peak summer, then what is the use to me.
I think that because my AC is covered in warranty, they do not care about the service. They are focusing on only the paying customers.
This was not expected from such a respected and ethical company. The product does not seem upto the required quality and the service is extremely poor. I would suggest customers to avoid Godrej AC´s .
