Imagine its the first day of the New Year and you have a 9.50 am flight to catch !! And you have only managed to push in a couple of hours of sleep after the rollicking party, the night before !!! And... your spouse and children ( 5 & 3 year olds ) are traveling with you !!!

Its a Bangalore - Delhi flight with a stop over at Hyderabad so you are prepared for the nearly 4 hours ordeal, anyways! So you wish to relax for a while before leaving home for the airport and switch on the TV......... thick fog in Delhi, airport closed !!!! You call Go Air and they confirm a delay in the departure, its 12.30 pm now. You dont mind, gives you more time at home. The guy at the other end has promised to call if there is any further delay, that’s what you believe !!!!  You get into the car at 11am and just for the heck of it, call the airline office again. " Its 2 pm now, Sir " ...... the children are starting to trouble, your spouse beginning to ask questions of choices you make in life ..... then "the" guy calls you this time, at 1.00 pm, you are already on your way to the airport for the 2 pm departure ............... " your flight will now leave at 4pm, Sir, its confirmed " ..... %*#@#&..... you dont call him that but mean it that way ..... and finally, you are at the airport !!!!

Just as you are lining up to park your car at the drop area, you hear the lady on the PA system loud and clear ... " Go Air regrets to announce a further delay in the departure of its flight ....... (cant be yours, cant be, really is there someone up there watching our plight, you wonder)....... at 1800 hrs !!!! The car parked now in the parking lot, leaving your kids and spouse in the car, you charge to the counter, to finally " have it out " with the staff

The usual answers follow. Sir, the flight has not yet come in ..... we can confirm it has taken off from Delhi .... now we have confirmed reports it will land at 5.30 pm.............. You only wait and finally decide to check in

The Delhi flight lands in Bangalore and your flight starts to board in sometime, it will probably now take off by 7 pm, you feel. Should land in Delhi at 10.30 pm, you think........ Hey, what if the situation in Delhi worsens by then again, you ask ? Oh sir, not to worry, we shall fly to Jaipur or Ahmedabad..... dont worry, we will know once we land in Hyderabad

And you land in Hyderabad, the first thing you know, is........... is ........ (now, hold your breath) ....... you have the choice of either getting off at Hyderabad or flying back to Bangalore !!!!!!! Will you give us acco? Not in Hyderabad, sir ..... in Bangalore, you ask ? "we can tell you once we land there, sir"

Back in Bangalore at 10 pm, you participate in a free for all at the Go Air counter and then leave for home, no acco or conveyance paid !!! Reach home at midnight and are too embarrassed to talk about the experience you’ve just had !!!!

The above review is in "third person" because I still cannot believe all this happened to me, guys !!!
