The title is confusing, isn’t it? Yes it is. What can I tell about this Airline? The prominent feature of service of this airline is that their flights gets canceled for "Operational Reasons" and they will tell that they will refund in full.

I had booked a flight from Chennai to Pune on Tuesday the 7th of February 2006. I called Go-air on 6th to confirm the flight. To my annoyance, the flight was canceled. I asked why, and they told it was for "Operational Reasons". The actual reason would be, I strongly believe, that their bookings would have been less than the break-even that they had cancelled the flight. So, I had to take an extra holiday and travel the next day.

They don’t have any alliance with any other airline, and so they cannot accomodate the passengers of the cancelled flight in any others. If a person is going on a very important business or even personal trip, he is taken for a ride. Imagine, if a person has to go for his own marriage, what will happen? Of course he/she will take another flight, which will cost him a fortune.

I will have to mention the pros also. The flights are good. They operate Airbus A-320. Take-off and Landing are smooth, unlike another low-cost no frills airline. The in-flight service is good, except, we will have to buy all the refreshments. Of course, we should not expect a great service for a flight of one or one-and-half hours. We can take our own snacks for that. They will serve a water bottle uncharged. That is ok.

The Air-Hostess look pretty good. Their uniform is a different one from other airlines. I liked that style of wearing different coloured shirts under the formal wear. I liked that. You have ON-AIR shopping from AVA Merchandising. You actually can buy some good branded stuff for less.

If they are operating a flight on any given day, they are ON-TIME. I have traveled Go-Air on 3 ocassions, and all the three were on-time, except for one time that it was on-time the next day (after 24 hours!!!!!!).

If they improve their service by not canceling their flights, I am sure, they will capture the market very soon, as they have the potential.
