Yes, it works. No its not a lotion or anything... just pure tea tree oil.

It is safe to rub all over your face, or back or anywhere you get pimples.

Be Warned, it is powerful-smelling stuff
for a few minutes. Some people really like it, others find it overpowering. It does fade away to a pleasant, fresh scent.

The vapors do irritate your eyes for about ten seconds; they water profusely, even sting, but it is temporary.

It also fades dark circles under the eyes, firms your skin and keeps away insects. True. I use it daily in the summer, and flies and mosquitoes don’t come near me.  Not joking.

I buy it at my local drug store. There are several vendors online who sell it. It is one of the main ingredients in the Melaleuca products.

More uses:

Tea
tree oil has been used as a powerful yet natural antiviral, antibacterial,
antifungal medicine (essential oil).

It
is being used as a very effective first aid remedy and against countless skin
ailments, infections, cuts, scrapes, burns, insect bites and skin spots etc.

Tea
tree oil is effective against nail fungus, ringworm, athlete’s foot, dandruff,
acne, blackheads and many types of infestations including lice, mites, scabies
and mosquitoes etc... (For humans and animals alike)

Tea
tree oil is not just soothing and disinfecting, it is capable of penetrating into
the lower skin layers with its anti-inflammatory, disinfectant, analgesic (pain-killing)
and cicatrizant (wound-healing) qualities.

It
has a diaphoretic effect - It promotes sweating - which enhances the body’s own
natural preventative response when threatened by infection.

Tea
tree oil exhibits expectorant and balsamic characteristics,
which are especially beneficial in the case of throat or chest infections, having
a generally soothing and clearing (mucus-expelling) effect on the entire respiratory
tract. It is also effective against head colds.

Personally, I’ve used it on my children’s cuts as well as my own; it works just as well as Neosporin without using man-made antibiotics, which I don’t like. I’ve also used it on Athlete’s foot, though it took a little longer to sure than using a commercial product. But it did cure it. I’ve also used it in my shoes, just a dab on a cloth, to keep them smelling good and prevent AF altogether.

I’ve also put a few drops in boiling water on the stove when we all have the flu. It seems to help with coughing and nasal congestion, especially with my smallest ones. We use Eucalyptus oil as well for that, but it smells even more powerful than tea tree oil.
