Genpact is primarily a KPO venture, which is one of the major employers in the Delhi - NCR regions. Before switching to working as a freelancer, I was on a job-hunt and came across the mail from this company. Since I was in dire need of a job, I decided to give it a shot.
The interview was scheduled at the Genpact building near Shastri Park Metro Station. The office premises was no doubt impressive. However, that was the only good thing about this company. The HR interviewed me and her command over the language was dismal at best. I smashed through the interview rounds( 7, I guess) and got the job as a voice trainer executive.
The job-shifts were horrible, right from the Australian one to the US one. The workload was immense and if you were unable to complete your call prior to your lunch-break, you would have to skip your lunch, as the entire floor went for break at-once and came back to work at once as well. The ambiance, as you can expect, was filled with the constant clacking sound of key board and employees chattering with either the disgruntled customers or with each other. The mess food was average at best and the cab facility irregular. The incentives were extremely low, in comparison to the other KPO organizations and the HR department was inept at best.
I, somehow, trudged through my job for six months and quit it before I was handed down another shift-change. I would advise others to stay away from such organizations, as you will only ruin your health and the pay-check will not be encouraging as well.
