My journey in Mouth Shut started technically in September 2004. But I really started boring everyone from April 2006. I didn’t knew the correct meaning or purpose of Mouth shut at that time so I began with writing on topics or things I loved most. Well most of my older reviews are duds. Sometimes I think that I should go and update them but then I think let them be a reminder of how bad I was and yes I have improved.

I hardly had any reader’s in my reviews but then eventually I realized that at the end of the day it’s all about networking. You need to show people that you are there in the system. So I started checking out other reviews and realized that there are so many good writers out here and slowly I got hooked on to this place. But after 39 some reviews and 1500 something comments I have learned something here and would like to share with you all.

In fact these are not only learning’s but my resolutions for a better beginning…

~~ I’ll write on what I like~~

When I wrote my last book review I was in two thoughts before posting it. IS it too many book reviews? People will surely come and say something. I should write on a popular topic. Why not on “Laga Chunri Main Jhaag (Ooops) Daag”??? Then I thought I should write on something which I would love to write so it has to be a book. So no more compromises I’ll write on topics which I enjoy.

~~I Won’t Expect~~

I won’t typecast writers. So ~fe~ when you write your next review on Diana Tragedy I won’t expect you to add humour to it.
I won’t expect The Reviewer to be angelic always. She can be rude and she can come and comment rudely in my next review, I won’t be shocked.
I won’t expect Paul to write FDFSFR always…even he has got things to do.
I won’t expect Alok to write a ROFL review always, he might be telling us something serious tomorrow and I will surely comment on it seriously and will stick to the topic.

~I Will Not Comment for the Sake of Commenting~

Well yesterday I commented on NV’s review on Camera. It was a technical review and I didn’t understand the 2nd part. So I had put in some vague comment there and said it was a technical review. Well I know after reading my comment NV must have thought “why has she written a comment? How Should I reply?” Later I realized I could have avoided the comment could have just rated it. Well for sure it was technical review but then there are people who wait for such reviews, so I will keep my mouth shut in such cases.

~I Will Still Give NU & SU~

This is the best phenomenon. The day I give one NU or Su I get it back immediately. But that doesn’t bog me down. I think if I have improved even a bit it is because of the bad ratings I have received, it said that I am not up to the mark. So my dear friends if you see a Useful rating in your review then you are seeing a new improved & truthful Smita in your review.

~I will be Truthful in my Comments~

I didn’t comment on Thakur’s last review on condoms thinking what will people think, it won’t look good.
I didn’t ask the real questions I wanted to ask in Paul’s “LCMD” review. No more of that. So Paul I start here, my question, in the review you wrote, “They make the audience believe that it is so easy to get into the ladder of escorts.  It is a field of competition too.  And a transformation to an international escort is not an easy task for a village girl.” My question, how does education come in this profession? Hehehehe. I just hope that people take it in right spirit.
Honest feedback is what I expect from people and that is what that I’ll try to give.

~Will write in correct category and will encourage people to do same~

When I open Agarwal Mover’s & Packers, I see 12 reviews & only 44% people recommending it. When I see the reviews 5 out of 12 are on some other packers or movers. I know Mouth Pad can be painfully slow sometimes but when we are putting across strong views against such serious service then the responsibility lies on us. Consumer can make or break a brand.

~Won’t Say there are No Good Reviews~

Well this is the chant going on in MS these days. But let me be frank, when I log on to MS I don’t log on to check out a specific product. I just log on and look for writers I know. Out of 30 reviews published daily I might be reading 10 something? So how can I say there are no good reviews?
When we were in school we used to say every alternative batch is good and our was the best batch. But the rule doesn’t apply in MS. We can not expect people to write what we want. It’s an open site. For myself I can very easily say that am not here to read product reviews I log on here because I want to learn something & I want to improve my writing skills.
Surely there are phases everywhere, so I think the present lull is also a phase which will pass, but yes this phase makes us value the last phase.

~I agree that this is also a Networking Site~

I will not say that we are not networking here. We surely are. Why do we see common set of people in certain reviews? But yes the networking happens because we are like minded; we share our views on some common topic or product. In the process we make good friends too. There are always sensible reviews and review on some vague topic, there will always be some sensible comment section & some fun filled ones…..for me its all about balance. All work & No play is not encouraged.

~I’ll try not to rush in to be me first in a comment section~

Oh am expert in this and quite a few times it has happened, I book the seat, read the review and comment after one hour, why? I was busy on a call or was I busy with work or I didn’t know what to write?
So the message is simple, read the complete review and then comment.
Be sure you read my review completely an exam will be held later.

Why I wrote this review? Well Am I trying to give a message to people in MS? Or am I celebrating my 40th review? Or am I celebrating 3 years here? Or am I answering somebody? Has somebody asked me to write this review? Or am I following my Advice No 1???

Keep guessing even I don’t know why I wrote this one but yes will love a honest feedback….

PS The irony is that i have written in a wrong category
