Hello everybody...

I was just going through some reviews and came across Mm. Lyla’s review on addiction to internet. It was simply superb and I just thought...why not write one ???

Have been using the net from the past 4 years...

Earlier, I would just accompany my sister to browsing centres and sit there and stare at everything, under the roof, except the monitor... The reason??? I didn’t like the internet...everyone whom I saw browsing, just stayed hooked to it, for hours !!!

I created my first e-mail id...(rather, my sis took the honours !!!) after my father decided to buy a system at home. Well, THAT WAS IT!!!

What started as a curiousity, grew to such an extend that my sis had to literally pull me apart from the internet. I browsed through all sorts of sites, majority of them with loads of contests in it !!!

Feeling rather proud to say,...:-))... I even won myself a prize in one of them....now, never mind that it was a music cd of an almost alien language!!!

But that was enough for me...it got me going!!!

And then finally, I won a BSA LADY BIRD cycle. I was in my 11th standard then, so I started using my brand new cycle to go places. It was my most valuable PRIZED possession and I utilized every oppurtunity to show it off....

P.S- It’s almost 3 years now, so right now, my cycle is happily hibernating from the past 10-15 months, in the garage. Know what, my cycle is such a pleasure there, that nature is protecting it from the anti-social elements by covering it up with tons of dust !!!

Well, my aim here, is not to exhibit my greatness, declare my good luck or something like that.

What I want to say is, the internet is such a wonderful place. People of different cultures, places get together and discover new ways of living, happiness, new people ( by the way, my best wishes to Mm. Rose ) I found out a way of letting go of my worries, and learnt to relax playing contests here and there...(...:-((...never mind, I’ve not won any since then...)

But at the same time, certain sites in the internet come up with such rotten stuff and influence the young minds, into things which are NOT correct!!!

After all, what is meat for one, is poison for another !!!
