I am shocked to see that most of the book sellers in Lucknow are selling pirated NCERT books. I purchased a NCERT maths book for my daughter studying in class 9. This book is so bad in quality
that I am forced to write it down here. The book costs 75/- and
papers used in this book does not have NCERT water mark and the quality of print is also very poor. By all standard this poor quality pirated product is not only freely available in the market but even displayed on the racks of the book shops. What the administration is doing about it? Why the government can not have control on these shop owners ? If the pirated books are flooded in the market then it is crystal clear that there is a big conspiracy behind it and administration is sleeping. It would have been a different matter had this been dirt cheap but the price is exorbitantly high and poor folks cannot even afford this so why the market is tolerating such a thing at the cost of the people of India. The only beneficiaries are the unscrupulous shopkeepers. An immediate action is required to be taken by the concerned authorities. Common folks are needed to be careful while going for NCERT books for their kids. Please see the second page and information given should be matched with the book being purchased.
