Beat the Heat or just Chill the Bill

It looks like the Summer is in full swing when Docs and Elephants are having sling on Paan(not the frying one) and Married’s day in while J.K.Star has found recluse in Blue Star. On the other hand some are writing hot warning revs on Global Warming, the Indian way and calling for Global Summit.

End of the day, what we sow today will be reaped by our children. But just thinking of the future, we cannot drag the summer out of our minds and say, ”I am counting my days”. Are we going to wait for Megha to mask the Sun and stay indoors to avoid the heat from suc*ing us, sorry choking us?

So here are my experiments with solutions to beat the heat:-

Cucumber Raita:-Cook your own Raita

*Mind you, it’s the coolest one and sleaziest one too which makes you peal off the skin for a quick bite. But if you can spare little more time, you can cook a wonderful tasty South Indian Raita

Married Batch’s tips-Shred the cucumbers in the form of thin wafers and add a small teaspoon of salt. Leave it to get loose and take a fry pan and heat two teaspoons of oil. Stir fry little mustard, uradh dal, green chillies(2) and dry chilly(1).

Take the water completely out from the Cucumber, add the stirred items, salt(1 spoon) and curd and garnish. Chill it in the Fridge(to prevent de-fragmenting from curd) and it is ready to serve with your food or separately.

*Coco(Cola for nuts) nut Water

*It is called Saint’s therapy as derived from God’s own Country(no matter MS has its own Saints and Sumits).Saint’s therapy states that the tender coconut is the purest form of healing therapy ever and prevents any clogging of pathways. Its best results is in tender form when it brings down all the heat from Pitta out through the normal channels of our extremes.

If you are a good cook, you can try your hands on Coconut Rice which has more tuphani tunda than any Hot or Soft drink in this world. If you are not, you can always rely on your Ma or Bibi which is safer bet.

*Butter milk without bitter taste

*If the Butter won’t melt in your mouth, try the tingy Butter Milk which can be made delicious than any other milk. Since making butter milk is just Bread and Butter job. You can garnish it with small slices of Ginger, chillies, coriander and salt to make it very tasty and spicy too. Ginger born from the Rhizome of Mother earth is great for Head ache as well as lower ABS inside.

*Shower to Shower

*My wife keeps asking me, ’ Will you ever come out of that Bathroom. But what to do, it is the coolest room in the house. With water so scarce these days in all metropolis, you have to balance the number of baths for the day. It always helps to have shower to shower because you also conserve lot of water unlike the Bucket on top of your head.

*Swimmer’s day in

*If the shower is not enough and the tub is too small for you, go & get into the big one(local swimming pool) for that one hour of dream date with Water. A word of caution again as you can always bring back the rogue, sorry rog from the others down under.

The most important thing is to make sure you apply a sun control lotion with SPF 20 or above else your skin will get the coalman’s colour.

*Cool Cool Navaratna Tel

*After my last Bhaja Govindam rev, I went searching for the Govinda Govinda Tel which complies with the reasoning why Many Ratnas come out on that one Head. Like MS Ratna, it hits you strong on the head and keeps it cool for the day in sweltering heat.

*Potted Water-The Cooler King

*Refrigerated water cools the water near to the freezing point, but does not cool your body when you drink it. It just chills your first line of passage. Potted water keeps the water at just the necessary cooling level in a natural way and makes you feel really cool.

*Car Shade and Shades for Car

*Many use dark shades of Car glass in Hyderabad to prevent heat dissipation into the car. Some use the same to do underground and underbody activities as well. Hence it is illegal as per traffic rules. So it is acceptable to use intermediary darkness. The biggest problem in peak summers is that they turn the Cars into hot furnaces when you park them. They also put heavy burden on AC. Two rules help immensely.

Always try finding a parking space under the tree or in a shade. You should also remember that earth rotates @ 24 hours a day. If you are good at squeezing the Car to the extreme corner of the shade, just leave the two corner glasses half inch down to prevent the heat circulating inside and the burglar as well with the car-cop secured.

*Not so Hot Holidays

*Everyone wants to go on vacation as it is the poor Kids who will miss their share of joy as the summer becomes bummer.

For the H sapiens who live in dry lands, avoid the swelter of Chennai, Vijag or Bubaneshwar in the eastern belt. Chennai recorded 42 yesterday and at Humidity above 50 is unbearable for Dry Monks. The westerlies are slightly better hovering at mid 30s.

My me poor me, my Mom’s house, Mamiar Veedu(mother in law and Jail in literal sense in tamil) is in Chennai.

For the Wetland guys, they have to keep scratching from head to toe unable to cope with the dry heat of Delhi, Nagpur or Raipur.

So there are enough places to still cool off in India to beat the heat.

*Chill the bill

*If you cannot do any of the above, put your head straight in front of the AC Box or lift your hands straight up half nude to the splits Box and suddenly you will hear the tac sound when sarkari power padega power pe.(Maharashtra and A.P are facing the wrath of the Bijlewale).

Don’t forget to chill now until your bill comes next month.

Thanks for reading and hope this rev is useful as the Hottest recorded days in India is between May 10-18th every year.
