If you are willing to buy a netbook then make sure to keep in mind the following tips:

( 1) Buy netbooks from trusted and reknown brands like dell and hp. They are hands down the best netbook manufacturers. They make netbooks in all budgets and their service centres are present in all major cities.

( 2) Always buy a netbook that comes with a built in windows. It will save you from the hassle of buying Windows separately and then installing it on the netbook. Generally you get a windows disc with the netbook, but if you do not get a windows disc, make sure you keep backup of your data.

( 3) Do not buy netbook from an online store, but from a showroom. This is because sometimes the warranty could be hard to claim online as in case you get a problem, online retailers will tell you to contact the manufacturer instead. However, in showrooms, you can actually use a netbook before making a purchase and decide what ia right for you.

( 3) Choose a netbook with decent specs. Using a low spec land book will ruin your netbook experience. I recommend: A minimum of 4 gb of ram, 500 gb of hard drive space, and a Core i5 cpu.  Dedicated graphics are optional. Unless you are gaming, you dont need it. Dvd writer is also optional. Opting otherwise will save some of your money. So you can rather get a ssd over a hdd, because this is the only thing except the processor that will increase the performance of your netbook. Ssd's are solid state drives having no moving parts and in terms of data transfer, they are about 10 times as fast as a standard HDD. Also, their failure rates are much less.  However, they are expensive. So make a decision depending on your budget. Roughly speaking you can get a performance netbook at 40, 000.
