THIS IS A LINK, YOU CAN FIND OUT MORE ABOUT THEM.

I used to learn Sitar not because of straight nosed girls in the Sitar section, but I was very fond of this instrument, I was practicing everyday seated in the difficult posture of right leg crossing all the way over the left leg , the dome is resting near my bottom and dipping my left hand index finger in a bottle of oil and right hand index finger firmly wearing a MIZRAB (The metal strummer) and always practicing my SARAGAMAPADHANISA and SANIDHAPAMAGARESA (These are the sitar notes) my hands are occupied and fingers injured from sliding over the thin metal wire, I needed a diversion for my mind and eyes to take away the pain in my finger, I used to look at girls and the things they carry in their hands, each and everyone of them used to have a Mills and Boon Novel.

That was reason enough for me to go the opposite direction, I adopted Nick Carter, Harold Robbins, Earle Stanley Gardner, Ted Mark, James Hadley Chase and a little later Wilbur Smith, Sydney Sheldon, Jeffery Archer and finally in college I was proudly reading Jackie Collins the role model for Shoba De.

After my marriage I became curious to know more about my wife gender-mates, I slowly switched over to Mills and Boon and Silhouette Books, I have gained a companion for life, we always say to each other till death do us apart. This is the lesson I got from Mills and Boon, it was difficult for me to say such a big sentence but these small books do give you insight how to say it and make things manageable in this Endeavour.

Before Mills and Boon I used to think men are men and women are women no need to know about them just be true to my gender, that is enough incentive for any women to understand men, but it pays to know some basics about them, seclusion and aloofness is a wide open pit to failure, after all we are partners and we own this big planet earth jointly.

RELUCTANT BACHELOR by Kate Jenkins

A novel of 220 pages is my foray into the territory I described above. The plot belongs to Cassy Laurens and Jonathan Manning, let me give you brief outlines of the sketches done by Kate Jenkins, men first is the rule so I begin with the hero.

Jon (Jonathan Manning)

34 years BBA, Co-owner of a company which develops luxury resorts. He is reserved and does not love loosing self control, he is surprised by the attraction he feels for Cassy Laurens, he holds back inspire of himself to the last page of this light and good novel (Good on him) He is tired of holding his confession back, he has some bad incidents in his parents life, that makes things more difficult for him, the author justified very nicely the RELUCTANCE of Jonathan Manning to give himself up to CASSY.

CASSY (Charlotte Cassidy Laurens)

29 years old girl talks straight sure of herself and knows from the first sight JON is her fate. All good dialogues belong to Cassy in the novel, she is beautiful, she is rich and busy as a bee gathering contributions to uplift the conditions of poor Latin American country, Honduras.

Now let is step out of the plot of this novel and for a while ponder the Hilton Sisters, they are rich and beautiful, do they talk straight like Cassy or do they ever think of poor villagers in Latin America or Africa or Asia or the villages in the poles, this side in the character of Cassy is incompatible with real life, moreover the Author was partial in making heroine more admirable than the hero, he is present like a piece of decoration in the novel, he is willing to be present around Cassy in whatever work she takes up and wherever she goes to. The balance is tilted in favor of Charlotte Cassidy Laurens.

Kate Jenkins did give Cassy a very admirable trait, she is a straight talker, she speaks her heart, whichever situation she is at be it vulnerable or strength, she admits her feelings and heart, it seems she is a ARIES girl. Straight like an arrow, MARTIAL problems of this world will evaporate in thin air if there were more girls who speak like Cassy. But unfortunately girls are made in the mould of Cancerians (Astrology) which confounds all things for the poor males.

The language is superb, the write up is very crisp and enjoyable to conjure images, I will always give good marks to a well written novel or a little sentence or a paragraph. It definitely evokes a sense of respect for the writer, I am sure the publishing house and the proof readers do help in shaping up sentences of the author, but I am certain, it does not add to much. The internal ability of an Author is evident in dialogues and the FRAMES of events they compose, that is the essential ingredient in a novel to take the story forward. Story looks like it is moving forward if the words are tasty and delectable, the story of RELUCTANT BACHELOR is very thin, and it does not take more than 4 sentences to complete it. But the scenes are very good and well sketched.

The running race, the family celebrating Cassy's birthday, the vacation in Canada, the concern of elder brother are some simple attractive things made tasty with good write up and composition.

I always attempt to read books no matter which one with a goal to understand the abilities and the tools of the writer, it really takes talent to create throbbing stories and scenes in the mind of a reader, I do not read to ESCAPE in the world of a story, I read to expand myself and inculcate writing appreciation within myself, that is my personal gain or the return for my money's worth.

This is the reason I don’t mind people putting me in their distrust list, it is their narrow mindedness they are showing to everyone, they say we don’t know why we react against you like this, I am a fellow traveler on this site, I am reading reviews, commenting on them and have good time surfing on the net in my spare time, who has the qualification to sit on judgment on others.

The writing was very good, I will give full stars to this novel, anyway reading is a good habit.

Yo reader’s books are a true friend you have with you always.
