A. DTH package price and channels: Majority of the customers compare the initial cost of set top box to make their decision. They do not realize that monthly cost of package are more critical than the one time fee of new DTH connection. All DTH service providers provide 4-5 basic packs to subscribe starting from Rs 99 per month and goes up to Rs. 800 per month. They call these package with name like Titanium, Ultra, Gold & Dhammal Mix so it is better before buying a DTH connection a draft list of channels should be prepared by your end. B. Set top box type: being a normal person, we can identified the difference between different types of set top boxes offered by companies. Today market there is 3 types box are available like SD, HD & Ultra HD. The thumb rule is to choose the set top box based on the specification of your TV.
C.: Warranty: Almost all DTH service providers give 1 year warranty on new connection. However, coverage of warranty may vary with each other. example: Videocon D2H do not cover remote, accessories in their warranty . Look for DTH service providers that offers annual maintenance contracts for extended warranties.
D. Service: This is probably the most important factor and the most difficult to judge. Support of customer care is constantly required by DTH customer, be it re-alignment of any account related issue.
E. Long Tern offers: All DTH companies offer huge discounts if you opt for annual or other long term packages.
