O General ACs come with an excellent pedigree of FUJITSU Japan brand. I too had fallen for this and had made the grave mistake of buying a General VRF system for my apartment at a very expensive price.
Unfortunately I soon discovered to my dismay that ETA General, the Indian company selling this brand, neither possesses the technical competence nor post sales support infrastructure.
To cite a specific situation, the ETA General Service center in Kolkata could not repair the machine over a 9 month period, even though the machine was under the Company's annual maintenance contract. During this period, they constantly kept on changing different components, replacing gas( 2 times!) and charging me a huge amount of money. The net result was that the machine would not cool after all this!
Avoild falling into the clutches of this company if you want peace of mind and airconditioning during summer.
