Story:

The author Steven Pressfield has given an artistic view of the "Great Battle of Thermopylae" recounting the amazing collission of two thousand Greek infantry against the invading two million strong Persian army.

He has demonstrated the scenic beauty of the landscape camouflaging the Spartans to set a trap to the ranging Persian army. Unfortunately for the Spartans, the Persians prove too heavy and casualties were large at both sides.

The book evolves around the Spartan strength and their benevolent commitment towards defending their Thermopylae gateway.

Most of the pages in the book are dedicated to the restructuring of the discipline of the Spartan's military strength and their sacrifice before attaining the title of Spartan.

The book is worth reading as it give us the forecast of military strategy to be prepared in advance against unforeseen circumstances. The inputs will surely make your hair stand at one end.

I recommend everyone to read this book and enjoy the strategy of the battle leading to material management concept.
