Low budget Luxury train.. Review on Garib Rath Express

Recently I travelled from Mumbai to Delhi. To get confirmed tickets in Indian railways is always a challenging task, so many people travel regularly.

Same challenge was for me. I wanted to get tickets in Mumbai - Delhi - Rajdhani but got in "Bandra - Delhi SARAI ROHILLA GARIB RATH EXPRESS".

I just want to share my experience of travelling in garib rath. First of all as the name reflects that this train is not at all for garib people. It's name is garib rath only because it gives to 3AC ticket at a very low cost as compared to other trains 3AC tickets.

My fare from bandra to delhi was 1200 Rs where as same ticket will cost me around 1700 Rs if I opted for other train. So its money saving. Talking about the seats, they are really comfortable. Next if you want to get matress for night you have to pay for it, they are not complimentary with your ticket.

Where as in other trains the fare is included. Drawback of garib rath is that their AC seating is very much uncomfortable and conjusted so I would say not to travel through that. Try to get 3AC sleeper ticket that is pretty good.

Food is provided in the train: soup, egg biryani, veg biryani, sabji paratha n all.so problem with it. Due to its low fare journey to get confirm tickets is much difficult.

Overall had a great experience to travel in garib rath. You will enjoy the journey. Garib rath are pretty much faster and use diesel engines instead of electric. Have an experience once and share it on mouthshut.
