Travel from Vijayawada to H.Nizamuddin. Review on Garib Rath Express

I have travelled once from Vijayawada to H.Nizamuddin by train no: 2611, Chennai to H.Nizamuddin Garib rath Express. Though the train was delayed by over an hour I’m extremely happy for the given below reasons.

Pros:

1. Great value for money.

   
   




2. Speed/schedule similar to rajdhani express.

   
   




3. Bed roll at a cost of Rs 25, nothing to complain about it.

   
   




4. Speedometer on board, top speed noted at night was 118kmph.

   
   




5. Berth cushioning was quite good, appeared to be recently built coach.

   
   

Cons:

1. No pantry car.

   
   




2. Little bit squeezed interiors to fit in more berths

   
   




3. Being a regular traveller it appeared that the berth width was little shorter, though didn’t measure.

   
   




4. Not much leg room space between opposite berths compared to regular Sleeper coaches,

   
   




5. Poor frequency on this route, weekly once.

   
   

Unfortunately could not see any appearances similar to Garib as it was major intention behind this train. The train berths are highly overbooked with huge wait list. But will get confirmed in short span of time. I’m planning to travel by this train to Delhi soon will update when it materialises.
