I purchased a Frame & Zeiss lenses from GKB, MG Road a few months ago which carried a waranty of one year against any manufactuing defects on both frame & Lenses. Within, 6 months, the frame broke when it was being tightened by thier INdiranagar, CMH road technicians apparently untrained.
I took it to their MG road branch from where I had bought it. The BM Ms.Lakshmi was very cooperative & agreed to change the same. After a month's time of repeated followup I got a new frame but the lenses were scratched & not changed. When I again visited & insisted that the lenses were damaged due to the bridge of the frame being broken, she requested for time.
After several months of repeated followup, she agreed to change but only one lense. Zeiss lens being expensive, it make no sense to change one lens as the other one would look different being photo chromatic. The area manager Mr.Chacko is absolutely rude & even refused to change any lens only because I complained to their Call center in Goa which is very hopeless. Nobody in GKB has the habit to return calls or bothered of longterm relationship.
I am surprised now that the Showroom in MG road has been closed & I have no idea where to collect my frame back leave alone the replacment of lens. Rs.18, 000/- has gone down the drain & I am seriousely thinking of lodging a police complaint & go the consumer court for redressal.
My advice to all is please keep away from this brand shop for any such unpleasant experiences.
