I purchased a water heater and was told that if I go with GE I wouldn't have to pay finance charges. They were difficult to deal with and incompetent. When I questioned why I wasn't informed in the e-mail they sent every month, I was told I HAD to check their web site. I asked why would I have to check their web site if I get an e-mail and see that my checking acct was being deducted the appropriate amount? I was told it was my responsibility so as a result the finance charges was from the original purchase price not what I had owed. that just seems wrong.
I would NEVER NEVER recommend their services to anyone ever. The finance charges added up to being about 40% of the purchase price.
