Review is about Dr.Amudha Giridhar, HOD of Obstetrics and Gynaecology in GKNM. We visited her for my delivery during 9th month of my pregnancy. Before that we were consulting a doctor from renowned hospital in Bangalore. I found her to be very experienced gynaecologist both knowledgeable and easily approachable.
She made us very comfortable and answered all the questions very patiently. You would feel the connect immediately with her in the first visit itself. During delivery, we took birth suite room which allows husband/mom to be with us. Each time when I was screaming in pain, she was soothing me with kind words like a mother and reminding me to relax and take a deep breath at every contraction which minimized my stress and pain completely.
Her confidence boosting words and husband’s moral support helped me to undergo normal delivery easily. I must say I loved my birthing experience of my son and Its all because of this sweet person Dr.Amudha. One more thing which I observed is that during prenatal visits, she herself performs ultrasound scan of her patients(which I have not seen in hospitals in Bangalore) and explains her diagnosis to the patients in layman’s language making them to understand clearly. I also have few of my relatives who enjoyed similar experience with her. So this review is dedicated behalf of them also. It was our good fortune that we got into right hands and it would have been very different or I might say I would have missed the pleasant experience if I had delivered in bangalore.
Therefore if you decide to deliver in Coimbatore, my suggestion is to visit her at least once.
