Yes sir ... the show that i have been watching since time immemorial ... none other than Full House .
It was the only program (series) which i was interested to watch ,
so was my mom , my dad and even my grand parents. Full house is a kind of a series meant for the whole family viewing...
It was series which was ...mmm.... well we could say .....remotely inspired from popular TV series for family ’’ THE BRADY BUNCH ’’... which was aired long time ago.
It depicted the day to day problems faced by a man (played by Danny Tanner) who was raising 3 daughters (played by DJ , Stephannie , Michelle) with the help of his brother in law (played by Jesse Gonzoples) and his best friend ( played by Joe Gladstone).
It was initially meant to be only for 1 season but due to its rising popularity it stretched on for 192 episodes .
The reasons why it gained so much popularity can be presented under these points :
1. It was targetted at people of all age groups . Every episode had something or the other which fed the expectations of people from all age groups.
2. The story line never failed to exploit the innocence of small kids. Dj was more or less a grown up kid to begin with so at that time they exploited the innocent speaches of Stephannie and the even more innocent stares and laughter of Michelle who could not even talk at that time. Later when Stephannie grew up she was shown to be a chatter box and then they started exploiting the innocence in the speach of Michelle as she had grown up as well. Later when Michelle grew up as well , they brought in Jesse and Rebeca’s twins. But when they grew up as well they had to stop ..... Hey ..!...192 episodes had already been achieved !!
3. Each character’s qualities , specialities and proffession had been carefully designed. Danny Tanner was a TV host along with Rebbeca .. the two were eloquent and smart. Jesse was a good singer with more or less success... at a small level ... but life gets better after he opens the Smash Club. Joe Gladstone ..a stand up comic who provided the most part of the comic relief had lot to do with the success of Full House because of his voices ..all of them were good but PopEye was just too good. The tanner girls have been providing innocent laughter to all audience and the eldest sister has also been used to show the problems a growing teenager faces and how with the help and support of her family she overcomes them.
The reason why Full House is better than many programs you might see everyday is because it has all the material it needs for helping viewers of all age groups to associate with this program in some way or the other.
