Had the misfortune to visit Foodworld stores in Bangalore. It was my second visit to the Cunningham Road Food World. It smells like an old open latrine plus an ill maintained butcher house. Old milk, curd
and other liquids are spilled over. The workers mainly girls quarrel inside the store shamelessly. At the billing counter the machine rarely works. When my trun came, the billing clerk required the manager to log in with his password. He was around the store only, enjoying loud conversation over his moblie phone. He was unmindful of the calls of the billing clerk!!!!. They have kept more than two year old "Ensure" , a health drink, in large quantity in a shelf. The packing itself has rusted and has become dirty. The foul smell inside the store is so nauseating that one cannot help feeling like vomitting. The other Foodworld stores too are no less different. In Filth and foul smell, Cunningham Road store ranks the top. I CALL UPON ALL THE CITIZENS NOT TO ENTER FOODWORLD STORES. I have taken a strong view that, whenever, I happen to be near a FoodWorld store, I would immediately cross the road and go to the other side and save myself. To go near a Foodworld store is risking your health.
I also appeal to the Food World management to ban the use of mobile phone at least by the Store Managers while on duty. Better to put the following board in front of Food World Stores
"Abandon all hope ye that enter here" (Courtesy: Dante, the author of Divine Comedy)
