Last evening (14th Oct), I purchased Amul Curd from the Food World Outlet at THE BAY on Old Madras Road. Today we opened the pack and when consuming it we found it to be ransid. Then I noticed that the
date of packing was 28th Aug. It was clearly stated that these items have a shelf life of 15days under refrigeration.
While I normally check the expiry date on products I buy, I would assume that fast moving consumables like bread, milk, curd etc. are frequently checked by atleast super markets like FOOD WORLD. It is a shame that they still retain products on the shelf for nearly 2 months when the expiry date was 15 days of packing. (Unfortunately, I have disposed the bill lest I could have argued my point with the outlet for my own good. But I consider it useful to share this information with others atleast for the common good of all)
I am not going to shop in a FOOD WORLD outlet again.
