Awesome book: I love reading and however busy I am the last hour of the day is dedicated to reading books. Flood of fire is the third installment of the ibis trilogy.

These three books are basically about the opium wars that happened between British India and China.

Although I really liked reading this book, I enjoyed reading ‘River of Smoke’ more. I somehow felt that the stories told in the book were really hurried through which sort of spoiled the fun.

But Amitav Ghosh is a good storyteller but I wish that this book had five parts so the story would’ve been told well. There are a few words in the book that are difficult to understand. The war descriptions were super long and very boring as well. I wish the author would’ve briefly mentioned what happened in the previous books as I had almost forgotten the characters names.
