Pros:
Acting,soundtrack & storyline
Cons:
Can't say

All I can say that Fiza is one of my favourite bollywood movies. Reason - Because of the captivating storyline, actors, performances & soundtrack. The movie revolves around a Muslim family in Bombay -the
mother whose character name is Nishatbi, played by Jaya Bachchan, Fiza(Karishma Kapoor) & Amaan(Hrithik Roshan).Amaan & Fiza are the son & daughter of Nishatbi.

The movie initially begins with Fiza explaining to the audience about her brother Amaan i.e his fun-loving nature. Then, the next scene(beginning of the movie) shows the typical family relationship between the three. A few minutes later, the audience begins to understand the theme of the movie & what is it based on. The movie shows the situation of this family in the 1993 Bombay communal riots which took place between Hindus & Muslims. Amaan is shown as getting lost in this riots from his family.
Then, 6 years later in 1999, the story takes off. Nishatbi & Fiza still cannot come over the loss of their only son & brother. They are unsure whether he is still alive or dead. However, they continue to lead normal lives. A lot of other filmy drama also takes place & a couple of songs are shown .The audience is taken into a flashback which explained the life of Amaan & his love interest, Shehnaz(Neha).
Now, Fiza has one main goal in life i.e to search for her lost brother. For that, she publishes articles in newspapers, speaks to journalists, cops & ministers to uncover the truth. She faces quite a lot of problems & difficulties in the process. She also has a man in her life,Anirudh, played by newcomer Bikram Saluja. However, this is not any love story & Fiza does not express her feelings for Anirudh throughout the movie.
Fiza then sets on a journey to Rajasthan where she feels she could finally find her brother. After a period of time,Fiza finally meets Amaan in Rajasthan. But,he no longer is the same as he was before. He has transformed into a jehadi,a fighter with a unique agenda. He also begins to explain as to where he had been in the past 6 years after the riots & for whom & what he had been fighting for. He initially refuses to come back home, but after a lot of coercion by Fiza, he finally re-unites with his sister & mother.
However, once Amaan come back to his family, things are not the same as before. In one incident,Amaan searches for a job to support his family, but finally meets Murad Khan(Manoj Bajpai),the man who had transformed him into a jehadi. He begins to blackmail Amaan over a
past incident .
Later in the movie,Amaan is arrested by the police for killing 3 people during the riots. In the process,he also kills 2 thugs who had harassed Fiza. They were the same guys who lodged a complaint against him due to some personal enmity. Unable to bear this,Nishatbi later commits suicide, leaving Fiza completely heartbroken.
Amaan is now on a mission to assassinate 2 ministers,Mr Singh & Syed, whom he feels have the potential to create another communal riot & make many more suffer. He is determined to prevent any such thing from happening to many more people, which had completely ruined his life before.
However, towards the end,Amaan becomes successful in killing both the ministers.Amaan was completely unaware that Murad Khan had planned to kill him,but that goes unsuccessful.During the climax scene ,as the police get behind him, he meets Fiza & asks her to shoot him, rather than get arrested.Under extreme pressure,Fiza finally kills Amaan, ending the story.

On the whole, the actor’s performances, songs & storyline are the ones which grabbed my attention.Karishma Kapoor was seen in a powerful role as Fiza, something which she might have never played in her entire film career. This can be considered as one of Hrithik;’s best performances so far & Jaya Bachchan too managed to get into the skin of her character with ease. Two newcomers,Ishaa Koppikar & Bikram Saluja were introduced. Sushmita Sen, Manoj Bajpai,Neha & Johnny Lever did cameo roles in the film. The direction by Khalid Mohommad was outstanding, as he tried a relatively new concept in Bollywood. Music was excellent & almost all of the tracks, especially ’Aaja Mahiya’,’Mehboob Mere’,’Tu Fiza Hai’, ’Mere Watan’ were remarkable.
