I had heard from my friends that five point someone was a great book. " FIVE POINT SOMEONE " sound weird but after reading the book

i am a big big big  fan of Chetan bhagat.

The story is based on 3 IITians : hari, ryan and alok who have messed up their grades.

Hari - hari is ouite a confused guy not to mention ordinary and unattractive .he has  smitten with neha who happens to be cherian’s daughter.

Alok - No one can compete alok in crying. he has lot of family problems to handle, his father is half paralysed , her older sister has not yet married and her mother is a techer and does not earn much and so the whole family is dependent  on alok.

Ryan - he is actually the cool dude among them.rich parents, good looks  and smart  enough to dominate his friends. he is very practical and also very good by heart.

These friends were five pointers. As hari wants to imress cherian (father of neha ) and alok and ryan want to have better grades they decide to steal  the test papers but they fail and got caught by the security guards. They were suspended 4 one sem.but then a miracle happened ( hey i’m not going to give away everything, you’ve to read the book ) .and then hari got a job in mumbai, alok got a job in delhi and after a few months went to us . Ryan  worked as a RA ( Research assistant ) for Prof. Veera.
Really  a chetan bhagat  has a gift o f writting . the story was funny yet touching and trully entertaining.

But the best part which i lked  about the story was the finishing line
’’I might have passed IIT but in some ways my soul is still there. Maybe in the hostel corridors or at Sasi’s or at the insti room. " This sentence was so touching  that i felt tears in my  eyes. This book is surely listed  in my fav. books list and will remain forever.
