Man is the only creature that strives to surpass himself, and yearns for the impossible. But remember a man without ambition is dead. A man with ambition but no love is dead. A man with ambition and love for his blessings here on earth is ever so alive. So let me talk about some of my ambitions, my hopes, and my dreams (not just gifts).

Love: When I was writing review for HUM-TUM, I was little confused. I was not sure whether I should write about my own feelings or I should make it generic. You might have observed this puzzlement in my review. Those who have put alerts can see the subject, which I had given earlier, was “My one regret in life is that I am not someone else”, later I changed it and made it generic.

I feel that there is someone in the world who can complete me, make me feel whole, and who I can laugh with. That person will love me not because she decides to, but because of the fact that when she is near me, she will feel the way I do: like one full entity, concerted. I also believe that love is something that no one person can fix the limits of, because it is as infinite and mysterious as the stars that it’s written on. No one really should attempt to explain it, because it is one of the greatest natural phenomena in the world that all people should just have blind faith in. Love is trust and certitude in the unknown, for without that faith, emotions can die. I crave for this dream love.

I don’t appreciate boyfriend-girlfriend relationship, going around funda or timepass relationship but I believe in true love. My true love to which I could request:

“jab koi bat bigad jaye, jab koi muskil pad jaye,
tum dena sath mera wo humnawaz,
tum dena sath mera wo humnawaz,
na koi hai, na koi tha,
zindgi me tumhare siwa,
tum dena sath mera wo humnawaz,
tum dena sath mera wo humnawaz !”

1 Month Vacation: A dream, which I always desire, is one-month vacation from my hectic professional work. This gift I would wish to get every year. This one month I will spend with my entire family at my village. I will walk haphazardly into my mango gardens. I will swim intrepidly into the divine river. I will wake up with that birds tweeting, or with the melodious song of that sage passing by the road. My day will start with care of mummy and learning of papa. It will grow with the wisdom of my grandfather and convene with my childhood friends. The call of the day will happen with the sweet stories of my grandmother.

Living like my childhood days is something, which I always desire, and it would be nice lovely gift for me. In my words I would say, “Koi lauta de mujhko wo bachpan ki yadein, wo kagaz ki kasti, wo baris ka pani.”


Europe Tour: I’m a proud Indian and I love to be in India but still it’s one of my dreams to go for a Europe tour. It is said that the world is a book, and those who do not travel read only one page. I want to read each and every page of this book, especially this lovely chapter of Europe. I want to see the beauty of Switzerland, the traditions of France, the patriotism of Germany, the history of Italy, the flowers of Holland and the empire of United Kingdom.

A Glitzy House: Don’t get confused by name glitzy house. Look wise yes I want a glitzy house but the home will be built of love and affection of the people living in that house. I believe the outside world doesn’t have a lot to offer. You have to make your own heaven in your own home. A lavish home situated in natural panorama would be the most desirable place for me to live. What could a person wish more than a house full of love, affection, care, and respect?

There is nothing nobler or more admirable than when two people who see eye-to-eye keep house as man and wife, confounding their enemies and delighting their friends.

Ssshhhh Secret: Every person lives three lives, public life, private life and secret life. Till now I have discussed my wishes, which belongs to either my public life or few from my private life. I too have my secret life that has some dreams, some desire and this is something, which I would love to discuss when my first wish would get accomplished. I know I’m dreaming too much but what’s wrong in that may be it could become true someday.

Hope is not a dream but a way of making dreams become reality. I hope to attain these gifts someday.
