I am in total favour of rating the radio over the television.Yes, I know that many infact all most of people will not agree with me. In my opinion the radio always has something new to offer- it is not just the regular rona dhona serials. I know that there are many channels like discovery. National geographic which are quite informative and in a way a radio can never overtake it but in that case I still stick to my opinion.

I am not a very regular listener but then I do listen to it. According to me the 5 best radio programs as on vivid bharti are:-

-man chahe geet
This is quite good ’coz it doesn’t only include the old songs but also the new ones. Moreover we can send them are requests through letters and now its convenient to send it through e-mail.

-hans gulle
I am really not very sure whether it is still aired but this one could simply role u into fits of laughter. In this they keep saying jokes with songs at frequent intervals.

-manthan
This is a real good one. In this they take up a question and then people ring up and put forward their views about the same. It keeps us updated with the current affairs. For example one of the question recentley was about - the feud between Greg Chappel and Saurav Ganguly. Then there was one about the changing scenario of films etc of the same sort.

-jai mala
This program is totally dedicated to the ’’Jawans’’ of our country. They are supposed to put their requests of songs which are then played over the air.

-pop hungama
This comes in the mornings so I am there for it only on holidays. But obvious as the name suggests it airs pop songs of leading pop singers.

These are a very few to list out. The power of voice can be experienced through it. The way they speak out dialogues during a play being aired really creates magic. On the tv u can understand that visuals stimulate anybody, but just the voice can tell u the feeling-this can’t be done easily.

I think we need time to really hear it ’coz it will always be there shyly in the corner waiting for its turn.
