Pros:
plenty of room
Cons:
nah

I just love reading. In fact given a good book, I lose myself and find it relaxing and a stimulant as well. But then reading comes much later. Finding a book for oneself is the first thing to do. Fiction
books are often available in the library. But around my place, only a few known authors are stacked, so often it so happens that I do end up buying a book. Non-fiction books, reference books etc are somethings that we need to buy, cause it can be used again and again.
So where do I go to buy books for myself? Browsing for books is a pleasure in itslef, and not being needled by the salesforce is something of a godsend. Hence, the place I prefer most, is Crosswords at Mahalaxmi. For one thing, I cant take my time... There are small stools where u can park yourselves or there are a couple of tables, where you can carry the huge reference books. The books are arranged alphabetically and the space is phenomenal. The staff too is quite courteous n helpful. And in case you get tired after a while, there is a small cafe to refresh you up.
The other bookshop, that I like is The strand book stall. This also has a large collection of books on most of the topics. But it is at their annual sale, that I really go bonkers. While there are not many fictional books, the discounts on most other books is sensational.
Another place I often browse around, is the Granth at Citicenter Goregaon. Here too there is no one to pester you.But if u stay longer, then someone does come to ask u ur needs.
And for fiction books, the best place I like to go to are the roadside dealers at Flora fountain. I have often found books for a steal here. And should you feel like it, you can even return the books to the same dealers. Only there is no comfort of an ac shop here. But the bargains are a plenty.
And last but not the least, I’d like to mention a shop in bangalore...Gangaram’s. I definitely make it a point to visit this place whenever i am in b’lore. That too is a book lovers paradise.
