Book is one of my most favorite craze. I have a small library in my room and I cant go to sleep without reading any fiction.

To choose books my first preference always is theKolkata Book Fair.Actually I at all times desire to purchase any unknown book after reading its short description about the book in the back/front cover of the book. The book fair gives me the chance to touch the book, read about the book & decide about it in that certain place.

To buy books one factor works very much, i.e. discount. Kolkata Book Fair generally allows discount of 10%. But the shop of the publishing house gives usually 20% discount. That is why I purchase books from the publishing house. In the case of foreign books which cant be available in the open market I prefer book fair.

In our city, College Street is very popular place of book purchasing. Offices and shops of the most publishing house of Calcutta are at this place.

Landmark, Penguin, Oxford book store etc are the most popular place of purchasing books of other languages beside Bengali.

I buy some magazines from the street shops. Before traveling in far places through trains I buy books from the stores of the station shops. And now I have purchased some books from internet. The sites like amazon.com, indiatimes.com, etc has some fair collection of books. I like the process. Perhaps this is the future of book purchasing. This process is developing everyday.
