If ur a bibliophile in Mumbai we probably have come across one another at Strand Book Stall. That’s right - just ’’Strand’’ for the faithful. With books stacked from floor to ceiling, a ’’no interference’’ browsing policy and yes those unbelievable discounts - this is THE place for all serious booklovers here.
Crosswords has a more international ambience. However its full price! their dial-a-book service is useful though.
For the really hard-core there is always New & Second Hand Books at Kalbadevi. This is really browser’s (and hunter’s) heaven.
And now coming to those of you who have completely dedicated yourselves to the pursuit of that special elusive tome. There is the pavement showroom that seems to crop up anywhere and everywhere in Mumbai. There are some great bargains and rare finds awaiting u here.
