Sadhana Sargam is the most versatile playback singer of indian film music. She is classically trained singer proficiently sing songs
in any indian languages.She is the only non-southindian singer who won National Film Award for tamil movie"agazhi" for the song "patta soulli".
She has won 2 filmfare awards for her sweet renditions for kreedam[tamil] & munna[telgu] in 2008.
this year she also received Chitrpati V.Shantaram Award for "Evdhas Aabhal"
She has won Maharashtra Times Sanman thrice for Jodidar(2000),Sarivar Sari(2005) &Shri Siddhivinayak Mahima(2008). She got central government scholarship for classical training during her school days.She has won Maharashtra state awards twice for Aadhar in 2002 &Sarivar Sari in 2005.
Kalyanji-Aanandji had argument and debate with melody queen Lata Mangeshkar over Sadhanas voice. They considered her voice same as Lataji during her high octaves and Ashaji during her low octaves,Lataji considered sadhana is v. talented but much junior to me.Today Lataji agreed that Sadhna is the only singer after her who has an international potential.She has won star screen award for ssathiya in 2002 and zeecine award for kuch na kaho in 2004.
