Once upon a time there lived a little girl

                    She believed in the fairy tales and the imaginative world

                    She still is sure of its existence

                    Coz She never grew up!!

                    Now she lives the world through her child

                    And stays happily ever after.
Immature may it sound but I never got out of the fairy tales and of course the pigtails too as a matter of fact no pun intended to Dov but I still tie one to keep the hair off my face!!
I catalog them down in the order of preferences:
The Sleeping Beauty
For the dreamy little girl who was born as a late child to the King and Queen bringing them true joy; Three fairy Godmothers came to shower her with the blessings for a better and long life.A witch who was omitted from the celebrations is full of anger and contempt and curses her to die at the age of 18 by a prick of needle.The third fairy Godmother who had yet not blessed the child lessens the curse by declaring that she will fall in a deep sleep with the prick rather than dying and will only be woken up by a Handsome Prince’s kiss.The King orders all the sewing machines and needles to be burnt.
But alas the princess does get pricked on her 18th birthday and falls into the deep slumber and so does everybody in the kingdom.
And then comes the handsome Prince to rescue,undeterred, thus waking the princess with the kiss;and they get married and live happily ever after.
I guess any explanation is not required for my inclination towards the story, for majority believes in the magic of the story;,but I just love it for its dreamy bit.
Cinderella
Before my a carriage turns to a pumpkin and my clothes to rags,let me just relive the tale.
Cinderella loses her mother at a very young age and her father remarries for her sake;alas the stepmother does not fall short of expectations and is cruel as ever.The two stepsisters make her life a hellhole.The father had also long passed away to support her.
Then comes the invitation to the Royal ball of the Prince where he aims to choose a wife.The stepsisters are excited for the event and so is Cinderella while scrubbing floors.
She is still left with the household chores while everybody leaves for the royal ball;and then again comes the Fairy Godmother and whoosh comes a gown , a pumpkin carriage and royal horses too.
But then she has to be back before 12 midnight;She arrives,she wins and she flees leaving the prince in a dilemma and a glass sandle.
Now the Prince is in search for the one foot which will fit in the sandle;and he finds the mate in Cinderella ;and they live happily ever after
Ohh my weakness for happy endings!!
Alice In Wonderland
Alice falls asleep while reading a book beneath a tree.Suddenly she sees a Hare passing by and follows it.
 She finds a door alongwith a little bottle of liquid, she drinks the liquid and shrinks in size.From there she begins a journey of a wonderland consisting of characters of all kinds,shapes and sizes, a world where animals speak and express.Every step brings in new experience and wonderment .Till the slumber shatters revealing that it was just a fantasy.
I love this one for its sheer imagination and awe.
Pinnochio
Just for one and only one reason, it always scared me to lie because I was sure my nose will grow.
Pinnochio is a very naughty puppet who somehow comes to life.He is adopted by Geppetto as his son.
Geppetto has a difficult time controlling him and puts him to school.There he is mocked by the fellow mates and runs away from school.On a query of an old lady he says he has nobody in the world and suddenly to his wonder his nose grows;the old lady is a fairy Godmother who says that whenever he lies his nose will grow.
Pinnochio feels sorry and promises never to lie and be naughty.His nose goes back to shape and he is transformed into a real boy.
It does not make me lie still and my kid too!
Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs
The only thing which really makes this one my favorite is the seven dwarfs.
Snow white is sent to exile by her stepmom because the magic mirror says that Snow white is the fairest of all women.She is given shelter by the seven dwarfs till one day the stepmom who knows magical powers feeds her with a poisonous apple.The apple gets stuck in her throat and while she is being carried away by the dwarfs the handsome prince arrives and rescues her with a kiss yet again.
I incline towards this just for the cute seven dwarfs.

I just hope I never grow out of these tales.For I like the child within me.
