My envy...this guy's pride..!

Alright alright.. I agree, that a gal would have done more justice to this topic but we guys have our role models as well, don't we??If your friend says,''hey man, you're lookin' like Salman today...'',its an instant morale booster..you would blush or just discard it but deep inside you know that that compliment made you feel good.! It's just the case of neighbour's envy owner's pride..Even if you are good looking, you may feel,''if only god made me look like Tom cruise or a certain Brad pitt..''. The list could go on...its human nature...we are never satisfied with ourselves...unless and until you are a real Adonis yourself and a role model for others, that is...

So with this single handed task I set out to pick the five handsome guys out of all the gabru jawans we have in bollywood..Pardon me but I wouldn't go too much in the yester years as most of them are grandpas by now.. My list would start with the best ones first..

1. JOHN ABRAHAM

Man, this guy has got the looks with the right attitude and a set frame of mind. If I had a wish to be granted..no..three wishes.. I would want to look like Tom Cruise or Antonio Banderas or....John Abraham!! He has been a successful ramp model prior to his debut in movies. And he has very soon tasted a fare share of success in bollywood as well. And not for nothing..his acting skills are quiet good too. He is a MBA from Sydenham College,Mumbai. So probably got some brain power too..and not just a muscle flexing hunk. Plus he is a big bike enthusiast. All the boyish stuff!! I think he could share a role would Antonio Banderas in the next franchise of Desperado(if it were ever made!). He wud definitely look like a proper Mariachi with a pony! But thats just a wild imagination.

His biggest hit till date would probably be Dhoom. And not without a reason. I can hardly think of anybody else who could have done justice to this role as he has. He was the devil in the movie and still got all the applause for a commendable performance. You would agree that not even the hero (Abhishek) could match his aura. Class stuff then...

2. Arjun Rampal

This guy is the most understated actor in bollywood. He has the looks, he has good acting talent and he has a great voice too. But even with all this, it seems, luck doesnt seem to favor our hero. Most of his movies have been flops, no matter how much he put in his efforts. He too shared the ramps with John Abraham and has done well in the modelling biz as well.Though, I dont know much about his intellect but he doesnt look like a complete dud...far from it. Infact he can do an nerd's role much better than John!

I hope he bounces back with a hit or two in the coming years or else its not a good sign for his acting career. His only compelling performance I can think of, is the blind guy from Aankhen.

3. Hrithik Roshan

This guy is again close to being called an adonis. He has an international look to his face like John Abraham. He had his share of hits and flops, but is definitely a good actor. His acting skills have been proved in Fiza, mission kashmir, Koi Mil gaya and Lakshya. But then, he has also done a good set of godawful movies as well. His next venture could easily be his career decider. Let's hope for the best. Of all his movies, Lakshya was my most favorite. As it showed his acting prowess. The complete transformation from a happy go lucky confused collegian to a serious motivated Lieutenent was compelling enough. But again the movie was not a box office scorcher and didnt do enough for his bollywood career. He is the 2nd runner up in my list.

4. Saif Ali Khan

This guy has got a never give up attitude and it shows. He has been there since we were kids and he is still a role model of lot many of our generation. I agree his earlier ventures were in short, tragic but then Dil Chahta hai bounced him back to fame in a big way. Since then he has not looked back. He still looks young for his age and wouldnt really look odd in between a few college students. His roles as a college student in Rehna hai tere dil mein was short but good nevertheless. I dont know why that movie didnt do good in the box office. It wasnt all bad. Next came the cult movie of our times, Dil chahta hai and we saw him in a very comic role and he did well. His acting talent was again proved in Ek hasina thi in which he played an all out villain with poise.I would rate it as his best performance, critically.Next would be the one from Dil Chahta hai.

He has always been good at candy floss movies and Hum tum proved it again. Got himself a not so discernible National award for it(how on earth??). He also did a period movie like Parineeta and it showed his depth of talent. His boyish charm is his USP!!

And he is a goddamn good guitar player. One more reason to be in this list!!

5. Akshay Kumar

He is a marathon athlete...never giving up. And it seems, with time he has got better.

I wouldnt really like to comment on his 'Khiladi' ventures but I definitely liked his role in Hera Pheri as a simple guy which he did with great ease. Again he came back to tickle your bones with Awara Paagal Deewana as the big bad don. Though the movie was trash, the humour content was genuine. Many people liked his role in Khakee and all I can say is..i couldnt really sit through it for long as I forgot to leave my brain back in home before going for the movie and all the time my brain kept asking..how on earth could this possibly be a hit?? It was an all out typical masala movie and I had to refrain myself from watching it any further to keep my bowel movements all right!! Anyways, that is a topic for another place and time.. Of all these guys, Akki would possibly get the medal for the least amount of intellect(hidden any..??) but still he deserves to be in the hunk list.

Some other names that I would like to mention in this list as runner ups would be..

6. Sanjay Suri - Mr. Gentleman..good actor.

7. Jimmy Shergill - Simple and handsome..

8. Rahul Bose - Mr. Intellectual..great actor.

Some guys I wouldn't want to see in the list...

1. Shahrukh Khan -Sorry gals..but he is doesnt really fit in my definition of handsome. He is short and stocky like Aamir. Pardon me if you feel otherwise..

2. Salman khan - This guy is all show...no go...So not a probable fit.

3. Abhishek Bachchan -He is a very good actor and has oodles of intellect but definitely not the visually most handsome...(again..choices may differ.. :) )

I would like to add that this is solely my view on these guys and I do not mean to offend any one by my statements. The rest..i leave on you to comment..!!

Caayotee out.
