I cannot stop smiling after listening to so much criticism about Aishwarya Rai:) But I still stand by her, if she gets good directors, she can do wonders.Now no one can disagree with my choice of Five Most Beautiful Indian Actresses, I will again name her first!
1.Aishwarya Rai-I hope at least Nikunj and Arjun now agree by me, she is one the most stunning faces in recent times.She looks heavenly in the recent promos of UMRAO JAAN.From the times of Pepsi Ad, a demure looking Rai transformed into heavenly Goddess in sometime back aired Lux ad.For me , she is ultimate in beauty in addition to another actress I will enumerate later on.She has not been offered mythical roles for which she would be perfect choice.With her height and poise, she looks like what can be beauty be as depicted in historical characters, She was the perfect choice for the queenly role of Mumtaz Mahal, but the movie could not be done by her unfortunately.
2.Hema Malini-She did falter in language accent area, but she is an ace in beauty.One of the movies in which she looks like a fairie is her first film in Hindi with Raj Kapoor, that is SAPNON KA SAUDAGAR.She still looks stunning in BAGHBAN so many years later.Film actress and daughter of actor Late Om Shivpuri, Ritu Shivpuri once remarked"When I went on sets of one of my father's movie where Hema Malini was also present, I missed a heartbeat how beautiful one can be without any make up put on, she drew her hand towards me to say hello and I felt if I touch her, she would become unclean, such a flawless complexion she had".
3.Jaya Prada-She needs no praises as Satyajit Ray once remarked"She is the epitome of Indian beauty".Nothing can get better.She came very later on in Hindi Movies and had the same language accent problem and often her voice is dubbed, but nobody can beat her in beauty section.She doesn't do much movies now due to obvious reasons, but she still looks very good.
4.Karisma Kapoor-I know this one will attract much disagreement, but I find a strange and mysterious beauty in her.Her flawless complexion and blue eyes in RAJA HINDUSTANI made speechless all of her critics who said she was a tomboy.I share same views about her as Ritu said about Hema Malini.
5. Madhu Bala-She is the one I would compare with Aishwarya Rai, She beats Aishwarya Rai as hers was a natural beauty and Aishwarya's is somewhat madeup.She was the ultimate choice in MUGHAL-E-AZAM, no one could identify with Anarkali's character as she complimented the role.No one can forget how beyond words she looks in this movie.She was the one and only one and will be never reborn.
I also find Vyjanthimala and Saira banu very good looking.
