Though my Favourite band from Pak is undoubtedly Jal and secondly Fuzon, there are a few compositions of strings I Love too.

Personally, I'm not a huge Fan of Strings, but I must say they are impressive.

Sar kiye ye pahar a simple song which if once heard will be hummed by you for a long long time.

Sar kiye ye pahar

Dariyaoki geheraeyo mein tujhe dhunda hai

Aabhi jaa ek baar

Mere yaar aise naa looto mere

Man ka karar

Well! I was humming the song as I was writing it. The Guitar Work is Great, it will reside in your mind and will find its place while you hum it. Although the Lyrics are forgettable, the music is impressive.

Strings are a Band definitely inspired by the west, however they have never picked up any song and have maintained Originality, they often sound repetitive. The best quality the Guitarist Bilal Masood posses is of mending an extremely Western and Rocking E-Guitar to a very classical tune. The lead vocalist Faisal Kapadia is undoubtly a good Classical singer.

All-in-all The Band is a Fusion of Rock-Pop and Classicaland they came out at a time when there was no market for this genre. But they have made a place for themselves.

My Favourite the Band has produced is Mera Bichada Yaar from the albumDhaani. I was flattered by the way the song is sung, specially the 1st stanza, which goes like.

Rasta.(and a Pause)

Wahi.(Pause again)

Jispe.

Chalte.

Saaye.

Wahi.

Dhalte. Dhalte.

Bilal takes his time singing only one word at a time. and wow it makes an impact.

I need not mention the Track Durr., it was a song that has made this Band what it is today.

Suraj ki kirno se banta hai

chehera tumhara

bas yehi chera hai mera jeevan saara

aakhen teri meri nadiya

palke kinara

Laakho dukho mein akela

hai mera ye dil bechara

Durr.

A Good thing about its lyrics is it keeps building up an interesting convo. If you notice the above stanza, the preceeding lines are a continuation of the line you are currently at. Interesting.

There was a song which had topped the chartbuster which I did not like when I heard it initially. Its Dhaani. But then I kept listening and kept listening and got hooked to it. I believe its Bilal's Guitar in the opening which got my attention.

Dhaani! re Dhaani. Chunariya

Tute baadal ke aachal mein lehrayegi

Balkhayegi, chalijayegi,

jaise bijurya, Mastani.

Dhaani.

Talking about Strings, if I miss out on their latest chartbuster from the movie Zinda, then I gotta be Dumb. Well I'm Not, Hence I'm Speaking abt it:).

As an addictive Song from the Band, it surely needs an applause. The verse between the song which Faisal just says it as Bilal's Guitar Takes Over is a highlight.

Bajae Pyaar ki shabnam mere gulistaa mein

baraste rehte hai har dam maut ke saaye

sihaeyo se ulajh padti hai meri aakhen

Koi nahi Hai koi bhi nahi

jo batalaye

mein kitni der tarsa hu ujalo ki raah dekhte.

Hai Koi Bhi nahi Na paas na duur.

Bas ek yaar hai, Dil Ki Dhadkan!

Apni chahat ka jo aielaan kiye jaati hai

Zindagi hai jo jiye jaati hai

Khoon ke boondh piye jaati hai

Khaawb aakhon se siye jaati hai.

(And the Guitar takes over.)

All-In-All Strings Rocks!
