Well its not very old if not very recent when pakistan premier TV channel PTV's dramas were in much demand through out the subcontinent...The question is Why those Drama's were so popular??? did they put a lot of money on thier advertisements ??? The answer is ''No''. Did they spent a lot of time setting for the Drama or Serial ''stage or set'' The answer is again ''No''. Were the scripts so good at that time ??? well ! to some extent. Were the actors very brilliant at that time??? May be...but to sum up all these one cant stop himself from saying Those Drama's were popular because they addressed directly to low class person .
They were very close to his life experiences hardships etc....Well one might rise an argument why am discussing pakistani drama's here the matter of fact is that PTV drama's were the first who attracted a large number of audience in presence of very very strong Indian Film Industry but they also have lost their charm almost 10 years back or so.
The discussion here is abt hindi drama's I will say they are only meant for or they address only 5% of indian population they dont address middle and low class of indian population at all. because a low wage person cant even buy a single SAREE which PARVATI ( of Kahani ghar ghar ki) andTULSI ( Kyunki saas b kabhi bahu thi) normally use in just one episode of their respective plays. In ALL the drama's KAHANI GHAR GHAR KI , KYUNKI SAAS BE KABI BAHU THI , KASUTI ZINDAGI KEE they don't even accept less than 300 crores as an ordianry or minimum amount invested in their family businesses.and for me , it is the height iof ridicuity.
I am talking only in context of STARPLUS channel because the area of pakistan which I am in shows just this channel of hindi drama's but I know story is not different on any other drama channel as well. So whats the reason for rating or liking drama's when they don't belong to us....what u think??????
