I think Business Baazigar - the new reality show on Zee TV is a milestone in Indian Television! Its a classic case of a good cause meeting mass entertainment. Where else where you find a platform for people to start their own businesses. I was overjoyed to see people like Damodar Ji who is 60 plus in age apply because he wanted to do something for the welfare of his region even at his age.
Then there is this unique design of the tasks - When they asked contestants to run food stalls at Juhu, they didn't make it simple by giving shops to contestants. Instead they left them in the middle of 100 plus food stalls at Juhu Chowpatty to negotiate with the stall owners and rent the best possible stall at the least possible stall
In the task that is on air currently, contestants have been left on the streets of Bombay with just one rupee for 24 hours. In this one rupee - they have to not only manage to survive a full day and a full night but in order to win - they also have to live well, eat well and return after 24 hours with the most money in their pockets. Wow!
