All the reviews I have read so far are based on traditional punjabi music and every one seems to have rejected or chosen to ignore modern day punjabi songs. Well I have decided to base my review on the new age punjabi songs. I have also decided to rate them on my preferance.

1 Aaja nach le This groovy track has been in numerous new age films. Monsoon Wedding etc. The song has the vocals of the versatile Hans Raj Hans and the music of Bally Sagoo. Play it in a disc and you know you will get people on the floor all in all a wicked track.

2 Nachna tere naal Music by Rishi Rich, Vocals by Jay Sean and Juggy D. These UK based performers have hit the music scene with a big bang. Every single one these performers have individual albums with great success. The song in question was released on the music scene in the big flop BOOM. However it gave the indian music scene a big hit. The song itself has a very good feel and the fusion of punjabi and english is fantastic. Probanbly because Jay Sean understand what Juggy D is saying. There are a number of track which are from this hit combination however since this started it all off chose this one.

3 Diil lutiya Another very talented singer. I think Jazzy B needs no introduction. 10 albums and a lot of struggle later this Indian born NRI is really pumping it up!. Find of the King Maker Sukshinder Shinda, Jazzy B does the song justice. Accompanied by long time missing Apache Indian the song hits the spot and is another example of the new R&B punjabi music on the scene.

4 Ambersariya Music by Mac G and Vocals by singer from XLC. The song is a club hit and a real smash hit in the UK and then in India. Amazing Lyrics do not exactly know who wrote them but wow! what a song.

5 Kala Chashma This hit from Amar Arshi and music by Kam Dhillon. A relative unknown to most people but the song is really groovy and music does the lyrics justice. What music and really another club hit. Another amazing hit is aaja ni aaja but this one is my favourite.

And before I sign off, If you can get an album with all these songs on it, BUY IT without even looking at the price tag!
