My favorite actor

I wanted to post this review day before yesterday itself, as it was Aamir Khan’s birthday I love watching aamir khan's movies. He is one of my favorite actors.I have literally grown up watching his movies and  never missed any movie of his.

Not all his movies are worth watching though. But being true fan of his, I have endured terrible movies like “Deewana mujsa nahi”, “Awwal number” and

“Parampara”. But his movies like“Dil hai ke manta nahi”, “Jo jeeta wohi sikandar”, “Hum hai rahi pyaar ke”, “Andaaz apna apna”, “Dil chahta hai” and not to forget his taare zameen par make up for all the terrible movies.

I have watched his “good” movies at least 10 times each. I know all the dialogues, the mannerisms by heart. And I never miss an opportunity to emulate them His characters too vary a lot.

Be it the Raj in QSQT, Raghu in DHKMN, Rahul in HHRPK , Amar in AAA Sanju in JJWS, or Akaash in DCH, each had a totally different persona. I still fret about his not winning the Filmfare for the performances.

Aamir Khan is not the most popular actor today. He may not even be the best ever. But for me he is the reason and the means to go back to my school days and relive the whole magic again. I think more than the movie itself, it’s the association with the movie that endears a movie to you. The circumstances while watching the movie decide the fate of the movie for you.

Here are some of his movies that I just couldn’t get enough of.

Qayamat se qayamat tak

Aamir's very first film Qayamat se qayamat tak made a mark at the box office. In terms of its story, it

was the umpteenth rendition of a cold war between two

aggressive Thakur families that engulfs young lovers Raj

(Aamir Khan) and Rashmi (Juhi Chawla). The traditional feudal

relationship between the father and the daughter where

fear, reserve and distancing were the defining

characteristics was contrasted with the unusual bond

between Raj and his father. The essence of this poured

out through the popular number Papa Kahte Hain. But QSQT scored simply because of its freshness in

treatment and ofcourse Aamir khan.

*Jo jeeta wohi sikandar

*Jo jeeta wohi sikandar was a film more about attitudes than

relationships. The naughty batch of school kids who

chewed gum, romped in shorts, bunked school The superbly edited climatic

cycle race where the traditional winners are displaced

and the victory falls on the frail shoulders of Sanjay

(Aamir Khan), the irresponsible, fun-loving guy, totally

lays bare the anatomy of victory. Aamir played his part to perfection.

Dil chahta hai

Dil chahta hai is a wonderful movie about friendship . I

don't think I've ever seen such a firm friendship between guys shown so

well as in this movie, and the love stories it was refreshingly different  Aamir khan is simply suberb in the movie.

*Rang de Basanti

Set in the modern era, RDB is about how four young guys change

their callous attitude and fight against the system for justice, and a

nobel cause. In this movie aamir khan played the role of DJ. He once again, did full justice to his role.

*Taare zameen par

*One of the best movies I have ever seen .It was just such a sensitive and touching movieThe journey of the movie through Ishaan's struggles, is wonderfully presented  . The way he bunks school, and then is forced to join Boarding school by his father is well captured. The journey in the boarding school from when Nikumbh comes in to help Ishaan...superb.Taare...is one such movie, which takes you to a special world where every child is star in his own right  and Kudos to Aamir khan for making such a beautiful film! I could go on and on about how accurate and dazzling this movie is, because it was truly SENSATIONAL!!!! =)

Also I would like to mention some of his movies like Lagaan, rangeela, sarfaroshand dil hai ke maanta nahi
