Ok. I am a huge horror movie fan. I love em, and I love to be scared. However, there are not many that scare me. These horrors are not your teen slasher flicks. These are the ones that will not make you jump out of your seat, but will chill your spine. A few that were very good were...

.) The Exorcist- no matter what some people say, it was a creepy movie. It may not make you jump out of your seat, but it will definitely give you the chills for awhile. Just make sure to watch the movie closely, cause im sure there are small things, shadows in the backgrounds that many of you may not have noticed. I highly recommend it.

.) The Shining- another movie that will give you chills for ages. After watching this movie, the scene of blood in the hallway, the flash-frames of the girls and their death. It will haunt your memory for awhile. Even Tony, the man in Danny's mouth, will give you the creeps when he takes over. It's not just a horror movie, its also a psychological thriller. You can see the decintigration of nicholson's character throughout the play, up until the final scene. Each scene he gets worse and worse, and on that one wendesday, the scene that total is less than a minute, you can see the great acting by nicholson and his transformation from loving father into a man who has lost sanity.

.) It- even if you are not afraid of clowns, this movie will still chill your spine. Just imagine your worst fears brought to you. Everything you hated and feared was known by a evil incarnate. Not to mention that the evil is chasing you. Its a frightening thing and it is brought to life in this movie. This movie is over 3 hours, so make sure u have time to watch it, and someone to watch it with.

.) Evil Dead II- this movie is another one of my favorites. It is an excellent movie with Bruce Campbell who is a very talented actor. The idea of a book of the dead bringing the dead back to life has been done before. This time however, there is a small cast of only 7 maximum people, all who will meet at a cabin. bruce campbell is the hero who has to try to put sense into the people who were not at the cabin when his girlfriend was possesed. The effects in this movie are pretty good, but the acting makes this movie another spine tingler. My friend watched it and now refused to get near a window. this just shows the effect of the movie. I will also give credit to Evil Dead I and Army of Darkness, the first and last of the three movies.

.) Dawn of the Dead - time to give George Romero his credit where credit is due. This two hour long movie is filled with suspense and excellent acting. From the beginning the zombies are already roming the streets. As the four heros lock themselves in a mall, they try to figure out the best way to keep the zombies out and detroy all the ones inside. The different personalities of the heros give an excellent portral of the reasons for the those who survive and who die. This movie is an excellent movie and I also recommend the night of the living dead, and day of the dead has gotten excellent reviews as well, although I have yet to see it
