Hollywood has been responsible for making some of the best movies for Children. And the best part about the movies are that not only the kids enjoy the movie, the parents do too.
In non animation category, the five best movies for children are
1.Home Alone:
This movie has about three parts but the first part is the best. This movie is about a big joint family who plan to go on vacation during christmas and Kevin, the youngest of the lot gets left behind.
Thus starts Kevin's adventure home alone. Two burglars try to break into the house and Kevin faces them alone with his ingenious plans... No doubt it will make you laugh .. and kids really enjoy this movie... it never failed to bring laughter to my nieces' and nephews' eyes... great comedy great direction... you will like it too ...
2.Hook
This is a fairy tale movie starring a whole bunch of kids with Robin Willams and Julia Roberts. Excellent graphics and just what a kid needs if he/she wants to get lost in the world of Peter Pan and his adventures... a good diversion for kids when they are fretting and crying ...
3.Babe
Well this is my favourite as it deals with animals and well I love animals no matter what ... I am a sucker for animal movies... This movie is about a pig (babe)and his adventures. The little pig is a sure fire entertainment for kids ... you have to show this to your kids if you havent already...
4.Jumanji
This movie is good entertainment for teenagers ... and maybe 10 years plus kids. This movie also stars Robin Williams and he is a very convincing character. This movie has some great special effects and well your kids will like the sense of adventure and fun this movie provides. This is about a game of dice which has to be played till the end and wherever the dice falls the situation written on the game board enacts itself in real life.. A very adventurous movie which will leave your kids waiting in anticipation as to what will happen next ...
5.Honey I shrunk the kids.
This movie is about a scientist who invents a machine which shrinks things and just when he thinks that this machine does not work, it accidentally shrinks his kids along with his neighbor's kids to miniscule proportion.... then starts the kids adventure and how even the smallest of the smallest thing we take for granted can become life threatening ...
Its fun to watch this movie ... this also has a sequel Honey I blew up the kid which is as entertaining as the former one.
In Animation category, you can blindly go in for Beauty and the Beast, Pocahontas, Alladin, Antz and Toy Story. These are the best movies I have seen including a lots of others.
Besides these movies you can also go for Old Yeller,Beethoven, Mrs Doubtfire ( for teenagers), Curly Sue, Paulie,Alice in Wonderland, Lassie movies,The prince of Egypt, etc
