Action is my favourite factor in the Hollywood movies. I used to watch all action movies released in the last few years. My favourite action movies are
1) THE MATRIX
Keanu Reeves made his presence felt in this movies filled with intense action and special effects. I think that the first part is better than the second and third ones because they were too stretchy. This movie is quite different from other movies in theme as well as in a lots of other factors. This variability was what which made thia movie a hit. The movie shows a world like the current cities which is not true and is only an illusion. The real world is one of the worst places. The war between humans and machines are going on and plenty of destruction is taking place. It is up to Neo (Keanu Reeves) to find a solution as he is the chosen one. I think that this movie should be seen ina DVD for getting complete effects.
2) PREDATOR
Predator is a movie based on an alien hunter coming to the dark woods of theearth and killing humans one by one and making trophies from them. After playing the game 'Alien v/s Predator' and playing as a Predator in it, I wanted to see the movie. After seeing the movie, I felt that I would have seen it a lot before because it was a masterpiece. It features some soldiers on a mission to search for a crashed aircraft. They finds it and also their enemies and blasts them off. But their common enemy was really on the trees - The Predator. They move in the woods slowly and carefully with a prisoner (Elpidia Carillo), but they are hunted one by one. Finally, the stage is set for the battle between Arnold Schwarzenneger and the Predator. There are some great quotes like 'If it bleeds, we can kill it'.
3) DESPERADO
Are you desperate? Antonio Bendares surely is. He is on a desperate attempt to find the killer of his lover. On the way he meets Salma Hayek leading to some steamy scenes. Finally he finds out that his own brother is behind all this and then.......Well, this movie has some beautiful action sequences all over the movie especially with the two guns and with the guns inside the guitar. The music in the movie is well suited for an action movie like this. I remember some cowboy movies after seeing this. The atmosphere of the movie I believe is the best!This is one of the earliest movies I saw in DVD.
4) THE WORLD IS NOT ENOUGH
Pierce Brosnan stars in this 18th bond movie which I believe is the best among them. The movie features Denise Richards as the heroine who comes only in the second disc. The action scenes like the helicopter destroying the car and the boat race at the beginning of the movie are some of those which you can't see too often in the other movies. James Bond's weak point - women continues in the movie and the movie takes some twist and turns in the middle. The movie features a lot of gun fights and explosions - more than in the previous James Bond movies. The final action of the movie is quite fascinating.
5) MORTAL KOMBAT
When I see this movie these days, I fail to feel anything new as there had been a lots of new action movies released and this movie's special effects and sound as well as the action sequences seems to be outdated, but still this movie is a joy to watch. The various characters in the movie are good like Lui Kang, Soniya, Scorpion, Sub Zero, Johny Cage, Goro etc. The most the actors and actresses were unknown to me. But all have put up a considerable performance altogether. I found the movie amazing as I was a kid when I first saw it. The action sequences are what helds this movie together.
Some other movies I would like to mention in my review are Terminator, Scorpion King and Charlie's Angels.
