Comedy is the least of my favorite genre when it comes to movies, but every now and than I may watch a good comedy based on its popularity. I've actually enjoyed watching some of the them especially those that have a sensitive message to them. Well, today I've decided to write a review on my chose of the five best comdies of Hollywood. I found theses movies a delight to watch and after watching them I never laughed soo much.

Bamboozled released in 2000 directed and written by Spike Lee. In this movie Spike Lee directs our attention to an African-American TV writer (Damon Wayans, My Wife and Kids, TV) who wishes to write a show like the Bill Cosby show, but the TV network rejects the idea of giving African-Americans dignified roles on TV. As a result, this writter writes a show that revisits minstrel shows were black actors paint their faces black, and act bufoonish. The repercussions become dreadful for those involved. I found the acting quite colorful, and funny. I especially enjoyed the animation of the puppet minstrels at the opening of each show. While I do understand Spike Lee's strong resist of minstrel shows that depicted degrading images of African-Americans on the screen, he provides outstanding moments of comedy in this movie.

The Nutty Professor released in 1999 directed by Tom Shadyac, and written by Jerry Lewis. This 1963 remake of ''The Nutty Professor'' which stared Jerry Lewis directs our attention and focus on an overweight Professor. In this movie Eddie Murphy (The Nutty Professor, the Klumps) stars as Professor Sherman who discovers a scientific potion that transforms him to a thin, and conceited Buddy Love. There's so much more to see in this outstanding comedy. Eddie Murphy plays multi roles in this movie ; he takes us on an even more funnier journey when we meet his family, and his final fate when discovering another potion that will make the college rich.

Mrs. Doubtfire released 1993 directed by Chris Columbus. Mrs Doubtfire is based on the novel by Ann Fine. In this movie Robin Williams (Dead Poets Society) portrays an unemployed father who lost custody of his children. Well, many crazy things will happen in this father's quest to see his children. He later answers an ad in the news paper placed by his wife for a Nanny. He disguises himself as a British Nanny to spend more time with his children. The turn of events will sure send you on a spin of laughs

Adams Family Values released in 1993 directed by Barry Sonnerfeld and written by Paul Rudnick, and Charles Addams. In this once television weekly series now gone to the big screen. Pugsley, (Jimmy Workman) and his sister Wednesday (Christina Ricci, Same Sex) makes a grim discovery of their Uncle Salvestor's new wife to be; they later discover that she's a black widow who marrys rich men, and murders them.

School Daze released in 1988 directed and written by Spike Lee. In this movie Spike Lee directs our focus, and attention to what life is like at an African-American college. Spike Lee takes us on a funny journey to sororities and the challenges that come with them.

There you have it folks this is artsed's choices of the best Hollywood comedy movies. I enjoyed this movies because of their strong sensitive messages of wisdom that followed them. The acting was well-executed; the casting and direction is also excellent. I also enjoyed the urban, and haunting sets in these movies. The scripts are well-written with excellent thought ,and planing.
