Smile.....it improves your face value. Review on Five Best HollyWood Comedy Movies

Are you kidding ? Just 5 ? Well...ok then .As it is I think I should name atleast 50 comedies to be fair and just .Afterall , nothing can overemphasize the importance laughter plays in our lives . Reality is , in present times the movies are the only source of laughter that's left . Men like Leslie Nielsen , Rowan Atkinson , Adam Sandler , Jim Carrey are doing a pretty good job at making us laugh . Anyways here comes the selected few .

5)Oscar : Ok...there is a chance you might have not heard of this movie . If you haven't , go get the cd and watch it pronto . The movie has an awesome cast with Sylvester Stallone shunning the boxing gloves and stepping into the shoes of a funny mobman .Well supported by a cast made up of some of the big names like Marisa Tomei , Chazz Palminteri etc. and a very special appearance by Kirk Douglas . The movie is a slapstick and revolves around the life of Angelo ''Snapps'' Provolone , a mafia don trying to take the straighter path to keep his word given to his father on his deathbed .

4)Great Dictator: When you talk about literature you cannot leave out Shakespeare , when you talk about baseball u cannot leave out Dimaggio. Similarly , when it comes to comedy you cannot leave out Charlie Chaplin . The man didn't need words to act .He'd been making people laugh from a time before the talkies were even invented. This movie is however a post-talkies movie with the genius directing and appearing in a dual role one of which is a spoof on Adolf Hitler .Great movie....must see.

3)A fish Called Wanda : Oscar winning movie comprising of a great cast made up of Kevin Kline , Jamie Lee Curtis etc. It has a good storyline and excellent editing . This movie won't make you laugh your lungs out but its an overall witty comedy with some hilarious moments.

2)Analyse This :A funny film with two of the best actors of Hollywood ..Robert Deniro and Billy Crystal . It has an innovative and unique storyline and some great acting skills shown by the versatile Deniro.

1)Hot Shots : The best as far as I am concerned . The movie and its sequel will make you roll from one side of the bed to another .Its downright funny and made funnier by Charlie Sheen's James Bond , Rambo and Topper(Tom Cruise's character in Top Gun) impersonations . Leslie Nielsen also appears in these .

All said and done .....5 movies mean approximately 10 hours ...virtually a minor fraction of our movie viewing time . So here are a few other films worth seeing .I'd spare you the details this time .

Blockheads , Swiss Miss and every other Laurel and Hardy movie.

And by the way keep your eyes open for the yet to be released Johnny English(ing : Rowan Atkinson) and Anger Management (ing :Adam Sandler , Jack Nicholson).I've seen the promos of these two flicks and they look great .
