Jagjit Singh - The voice that Touches your heart
Jagjit Singh, definitely one of the most respected Ghazal SIngers of all times has given all of us many Sweet memorable tracks for any mood.
I had recently purchased his Album' Marasim' &' Muntazir' and it is SUPER.
The best part about his songs are the Quotes, Shayari, Sayings etc. which have been explained so beautifully with the melody that just makes you feel so good.
But yet, these five songs are what I would say are my fav Jagjit Singh SONGS: Just Breathtaking:

5) Apne Hoton par Sajana : Its all about wordings. you can keep listening to them all day long. The best lyrics I have heard so far for any song . be it English, Hindi, Marathi, Tamil, Malayalam. This song Rocks!

Then just Sing this song to her. fantastic String Instrument Music. A song that has a fast music with a slow melody!Great Music, Words. My fav line:' Sach to yeh hai. phool ka dil bhi challi hain. Hasta chehra ek bahan Lagtha hai. Tera Chehra. Kitna Suhana Lagtha hai . Tere aage. Chand bhi purana lagtha hai'
3) Hoton Se Choolon Tum:By God! It feels good to be alive and just so madly wants you to get that feeling . to reach from the mind and always think from your HEART. What more do I say:' Tum haar ke dil apna. meri Jeet Amar Kar Do' Love is not about ego. it does not think about anything else . but keeps your heart pounding and wanting to think 4 that someone special - 4ever and another day. Just Listen and you will keep playing it in LOOPS!
2) Woh Kagaz Ki Kashti:'Yeh Daulat Bhi Le Loh. Yeh Shaurat bhi le lo. bhale chhen lo mujhse meri jawani. magar mujhe lauta do .woh bachpan ka savan.Woh Kagaz Ki Kashti.woh barish ka pani' -
B E A utiful. A song that speaks about love, about memories that all of us have at any given point of time - Our Childhood. Its a song that brings out our Routine. All the Success, All the Fame. and the Fortune and all the name. But the best are the memories and experiences of our childhood. So True!
1)Tum Ko Dekha, to yeh khayal aaya!: The Ultimate One. A song that never ceases to take my breath away. The melody, the tone, the lyrics are just PERFECT in all respects.
Its a song from the heart which speaks about the heart - felt. The use of flute, strings instruments in this is a splendid blend and combination to create the magic and make you sit and just stay still . It just makes you keep wanting for more. This was the first song I had heard of JS's and then. History was made. a man who used to listen to no other songs than kishore kumar, Elvis presley, frank Sinatra. became a true fan of the Legendary -JS.
