I think 70s represent the transformation era in bollywood as it inmarked the many milestone in the history keepers.

70s was the era in which the independent india was getting exposed to cosmopolitan world, so it infuses a breath of newly found confidence in its stories.

Also it was that time period in which first generation of independent indian babies became youths .Also politically this era saw many political upsurge in national as well as international level.

So all such factor had contributed n reflected in stories of bollywood.welllll now cuming 2 our title.i think this 5 film list must includes

1.anand(1970)-frank capra had said tragedy z not wen actors cry but wen audience cries.his these words seems to be a reality in 1970 wen this movie was released wen whole india found a blue feeling for a man who was suppozed to die in sum days yet his positivity was unbeleiveable.

this movie made rajesh khanna a legend just at a early age of 29 years.

bbc had made a documentary on kaka named bombay superstar as they too had never xpected such a marvellous work from india.the scene in which tape recorder puts the voice of anand after his death z simply hearttouching.a indian marvellous .no one can stop from crying

2.sholay(1975)-yeah this movie had many records to its .but I think this movie in real sence had brought action to a long lasting theme.infact angry young man was totally acceptible.this film had given the bollywood the longest known villain gabbar singh ie amjad khan to bollywood

had sum memorable ongs.n off course a daku theme which was afavourate for years.but I think the best contribution of this movie was amjad khan n salim-jaVED .they were simply rewarded

3.amarprem(1971)-this movie was really different to its treatment.commercial cinema ingredient yet wid serious cinema characteristics.this film had given a new meaning of human relationships.anand babu ie rajesh khanna n his relationship wid prostitut*s z simply allurring n sharmillas inclination for nandu cllearly speaks the very basic of human relations.

meaningful insight to prostitution aspect magnified

3.deewar(1975)-70s was era of unsatisfied youths, political injustice, unemployment n unsatisfaction among the youths.at that time release of this movie had directlyprovided a soothening effect.in amitabh rebellion every frustrated youngmen found a part of them who z working for their justice.this movie represent the end of khanna era n start of big b era

4.desh pardesh(1978)-well for many peoples this movie may not be that suitable.yet I think this movie canvassed the ironies attached wid people migratin from india to west for job n they find difficult environment.

also, illigal immigeration was also taken care in this movie.perhaps the last hit of dev anand.nice theme

5.aawiskar nmere apne-well I had choosen two movies as I think both are really different in aawiskar we see the sour in married relationship n ego mproblem which arouses among couples.vasu da's perfect direction had made it a well knitted serious cinema work.with mere apne gulzar had given the new orientation of youths of that time.i think gulzar z sumone who had given not only sum memorable lyri9cs but sum heart touching movies tooo

his khusboo was another such movie along wid mausam

at end I can say that 70 was a memorable decade.
